Updates & Information

To maintain a neat and orderly appearance, and minimize damage or encroachment in neighboring lots, arborvitae will be removed in order of the following:

  • Family request for removal
  • Dead or overgrown shrubs
  • Remaining shrubs

The City of Antigo will no longer allow any new plantings of arborvitae.  However, interested families may request memorial tree plantings or memorial benches in the parks or in specific locations in the cemetery.  Please contact our office for more information.

Summer flower arrangements must be removed by October 1 in the three municipal cemeteries (Antigo, Elmwood and Bohemia).  Winter or fall arrangements may be attached to the markers or hung from a shepherd hook after October 1.
